Blessing Tradition and Innovation: Dulwich Bangkok Campus
On December 12th 2024, a traditional blessing ceremony was held at the construction site of Dulwich College International School Bangkok. The ceremony, led by a Brahmin master of ceremonies, brought together representatives from Dulwich College, the Landlord, Virtuarch, the engineering consultants and project management team. The ceremony sought blessings for a safe and successful construction journey, with prayers and offerings to ensure a smooth and harmonious project flow.

As the appointed lead designers, Virtuarch has crafted a campus that reflects modern educational needs while honoring both the rich heritage of Dulwich College with its century old English tradition, as well as the roots of local Thai culture. Virtuarch, who acts as the lead designers of this transformative project, developed the new campus masterplan, along with its architecture and interior design, embodying a forward-thinking vision for contemporary international education in Thailand.Â
A Campus Rooted in Nature and Culture
The design of Dulwich Bangkok seamlessly integrates nature into the learning environment. Green spaces, gardens, and outdoor learning areas create a harmonious connection between students and their surroundings. Natural light floods the open spaces, enhancing the learning experience and promoting well-being.

At the same time, the campus pays homage to Dulwich’s heritage and Thai culture. The use of red brick and stone, paired with a warm earth-tone palette, reflects a timeless aesthetic. Subtle nods to the Dulwich crest and traditional colors blend with local Thai influences, creating a unique sense of place and belonging.

Virtuarch’s design principles focus on creating a welcoming, child-centered environment that feels like a second home for the students. The campus is designed to human scale, not imposing, and fosters a sense of togetherness. Each space is thoughtfully crafted to support the well-being of students across all age groups, ensuring they feel nurtured and inspired.
