Sika Pinghu Plant Groundbreaking: A Milestone in Innovation

On December 18, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new plant of Sika New Materials Co., Ltd. in Pinghu, Zhejiang, officially took place, marking an important milestone in the company’s journey in China. The event brought together local government leaders, Sika management, and valued partners, all united to celebrate this key development.

Drawing inspiration from the majestic Swiss mountain scenery of the home country of Sika, and referring to the iconic triangular logo of Sika, the façade design features angular lines and triangular forms reminiscent of the iconic Matterhorn, symbolizing strength and precision. The 60° angled lines across the building’s exterior not only create a striking, cohesive look but also reflect the values of modernity and technological excellence that define Sika. The use of gray and silver steel panels in combination with yellow and red lines combines durability and aesthetic appeal, leaving a mark in the surrounding industrial landscape.

The interior design of the office building is characterized by a dynamic lines connecting the reception and showroom area with the rest spaces across multiple floors, creating a harmonious flow throughout. The thoughtful use of open, inviting spaces alongside sharp, sculptural details creates an environment that’s both functional and visually striking.
