A New Beginning: Piovan Suzhou Designed by VIRTUARCH
On January 15, 2025, the work of VIRTUARCH was the perfect setting for the grand opening ceremony of PiovanGroup’s APAC headquarters and production hub. As the architectural and interior designer and project management of the new Piovan facility in China, VIRTUARCH brought its vision to reality, creating a space that seamlessly blends innovation with tradition.
PiovanGroup’s new APAC headquarters is a notable achievement in blending modern and traditional elements, meticulously crafted by VIRTUARCH. It comprises a four story office building for engineering and management functions, linked to a double-story production and warehouse building. Spanning 15,000 square meters, the building integrates industrial production with white collar workplaces, creating an innovative and culturally respectful workspace. Its sleek façade and well-organized interior prioritize employee comfort.

The new facility has bolstered Piovan’s influence in Asia, with the ceremony drawing significant attention from both Italian and Chinese government representatives.
The distinguished guests were on stage to perform the ribbon-cutting ceremony, including Mr. Mao Wei, Ms. Tiziana D’Angelo, Mr. Wu Qi, Ms. Yu Meihua, Mr. Shen Mingsheng, Mr. Ye Qizhong, Mr. Lorenzo Riccardi, Mr. Carlo D’Andrea, Mr. Filippo Zuppichin, and Mr. Flavio Zaghini
At the ceremony, important guests, including Consul General of Italy Ms. Tiziana D’Angelo and Deputy Mayor of Suzhou Mr. Mao Wei, attended and delivered speeches, highly praising PiovanGroup’s investment and development and expressing their expectations for future cooperation. PiovanGroup CEO Mr. Filippo Zuppichin and Asia CEO Mr. Flavio Zaghini also shared the group’s development blueprint in the Asia-Pacific region, demonstrating their confidence and vision for the future. “China is a market that the Group has always believed in by opening its first production site 20 years ago. – says PiovanGroup CEO Mr. Filippo Zuppichin. We were convinced that China was becoming the manufacturing engine of the world. The facts and growth in recent years have confirmed this, and we are confident of future successes.”

The outdoor courtyard, where modern industrial aesthetics blend harmoniously with traditional Suzhou garden elements, provided a comfortable space for guests to interact and communicate.
