Celebrating VIRTUARCH’s Bangkok Office

Over the last years, VIRTUARCH has successfully designed an increasing number of high quality projects in Southeast Asia. As a consequence of this positive development, the Swiss architecture and project management company opened a new office in Bangkok, which marked another major step in the growth of VIRTUARCH. A celebration was held on 31. October 2019 in Bangkok. Over 50 clients, partners and friends came to congratulate and to toast to the successes of the first year of VIRTUARCH Thailand’s operation.

The Success Story in Asia Continues

The opening of the office in Bangkok a year ago has been a major milestone, it is also a sign of VIRTUARCH’s commitment to the region. From the capital city of Thailand, VIRTUARCH is able to serve its growing client base in Southeast Asia even better. Daniel HEUSSER, President of VIRTUARCH, explains the strategic investment in the growing markets of Southeast Asia: “During the last years, VIRTUARCH worked on more and more projects in Southeast Asia. With the region developing fast and clients of VIRTUARCH building up industrial and service hubs here, we want to be closer to our clients and bring VIRTUARCH’s know-how to the region more efficiently. “

Consistency And Synergy Between Shanghai And Bangkok

To ensure the consistent implementation of the quality, the values, and the philosophy of VIRTUARCH, Therdsiddhi HOPRASARTSUK-PELLAUMAIL was appointed partner and Managing Director of the new Business Entity in Thailand. Therdsiddhi has graduated in Architecture in Versailles, France. He has been the former head of VIRTUARCH’s Architecture Department in Shanghai and has, after moving back to his home country Thailand, implemented countless F&B projects for Thailand’s Minor Group in Asia. He will focus on the specific capabilities of the Bangkok office and further strengthen the VIRTUARCH network in Southeast Asia. This is an important factor in the success of VIRTUARCH’s projects: Combining local knowledge with profound design and project management expertise in a network of almost 100 experts in the region. “The synergy between our Bangkok office and our Shanghai office allows us to better accompany the mobility of our clients in China and in the CLMTV markets, namely Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam”, Therdsiddhi HOPRASARTSUK-PELLAUMAIL explains.

VIRTUARCH as Brand Ambassador

for Switzerland

VIRTUARCH in Thailand has done very well during its first year of operation, growing its staff to over 10 people located in the office in Bangkok and on sites in Southeast Asia.

Among the projects successfully completed in 2019 are the French School Yangon Campus Relocation Project (Phase 1), several restaurants for Thailand’s famous Nara Thai Cuisine Brand as well as office and retail projects throughout the region. VIRTUARCH’s performance and its efforts is well received, not only on the Asian side, but also by Swiss officials, who see the Swiss architecture brand as a valuable player in the relationship between Switzerland and Thailand. This has been pointed out by the representative of the Swiss Embassy to Thailand, the Consul Mr. Pierre CHABLOZ, who also attended the celebration: “Switzerland is a country which has brought up a lot of famous architects who also have had success abroad, such as Le Corbusier, Herzog and de Meuron, Mario Botta and many more. The Embassy of Switzerland is happy that a big Swiss Architecture office has established an office in Thailand and wishes VIRTUARCH a successful development.”

The Journey in Asia Will Continue

Mr. Therdsiddhi HOPRASARTSUK-PELLAUMAIL thanked all clients and partners for their trust in VIRTUARCH’s services and left no doubt that VIRTUARCH is ambitious to leave a significant footprint on the market: “We believe that our commitment to ‘Building better Futures’ is providing perfect solutions for the needs and challenges of our Clients.” The success so far is only the beginning of a long-term commitment of VIRTUARCH to Southeast Asia and especially also to Thailand. The journey will continue; Daniel Heusser leaves no doubt about this: “VIRTUARCH will further strengthen its position on the fields of Educational, Industrial and Office projects and bring in its know-how in other fields of expertise, such as Food and Beverage (F&B) as well as Commercial projects in the region. “

Daniel HEUSSER (President) and Therdsiddhi HOPRASARTSUK-PELLAUMAIL (Managing Director) offer a toast on the success of VIRTUARCH in Thailand.
