THE FRENCH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF YANGON (SUMMER WORKS), MYANMAR

The French International School of Yangon is moving to a new campus. The 1^st phase integrate to a global vision of a 3 years’ campus development.VIRTUARCH is responsible for the design from the renovation of a colonial villa – classified as historic monument into teaching and administration facilities. The villa can accommodate 5 senior school classrooms, a library, a student lounge, 2 managers office. The design was contemparary and comfortable while respecting the original villa spirit meanwhile creating a temporary entrance gate with containers structures.VIRTUARCH managed to complete the site job during 7 weeks of  summer holidays corresponding to monsoon period in Myanmar. It was challenging task and the client were very happy in the end.
