The Nara Thai Cuisine Restaurant project comprises different areas that had to be taken care of. The kitchen is located in an adjacent building. The dining area consists of three zones: There is a generous space for all the guest to eat and relax along the bay window with a city view on Rimcome Junction, a famous spot in Chiang Mai. In the middle of this space a VIP room is integrated with places for around 20 people. To keep the privacy as well as guaranteeing flexibility, foldable glass doors that can be completely opened in order to use the space for regular guests, when privacy is not required. The bar zone complements the dining room. Street food carts are used as decorative elements bringing in the charm of the typical Thai street food stands you can find everyweher in Thailand.

To do the restauration in an authentic style one has to know about the Lanna Thai houses. Lanna architecture designs are traditional, taking into account local factors, for example the climate and naturally available materials that can resist the rains, but also provide a cool environment in this tropical environment. Also, the building of the Nara Cuisine consists of wood with a simple, relaxed, and open look and feel. Landmark of the restaurant is the Lanna style roof. It is the first thing visitors see and it shapes the whole building. In order to raise the outstanding position of this architectural part in particular, the roof covering tiles have partially been covered by gradient gold-leaf like shingle roof to give it a lighter look. A specially developed lighting concept enhances the embellishment effect during evening and nighttime.
