This massive project contains the biggest escalator factory in the world, a 200 meters high elevator test tower, an elevator factory, the regional headquarters of schindler and all necessary supporting functions for logistics, social functions and representation.

Schindler took the relocation of its existing escalator plant from the city to an industrial zone outside Shanghai as an opportunity to set new standards in production efficiency, and virtuarch provided the building technology related tools to make this happen.
