VIRTUARCH & KMUTT – Intercultural Architecture Discourse

Virtuarch was delighted to host the student visit from the School of Architecture and Design, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) at our Shanghai office On November 18th 2024.

This field trip, led by Asst. Prof Kisnaphol Wattanawanyoo, consisted of six students eager to expand their knowledge of advanced technologies in architecture and design, offered an invaluable platform to explore Virtuarch’s innovative approach to cutting-edge architectural design, sustainable solutions and design management with some of our recent best practices.

Virtuarch’s work on Belimo project, exampled our expertise in the façade design. The team discussed the LEED platinum certification process and how Virtuarch integrates environmental responsibility into our designs, achieving outstanding energy efficiency and sustainability standards.

Virtuarch introduced a double façade system to the newly build south façade, adopted the building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) glass panels to the outer layer and Aluminum panels to the inner layer.

Virtuarch shared insights into our work on the new Dulwich College in Bangkok, a project that aims to become Thailand’s leading international school. The students were given an in-depth look at the masterplan, architecture and interior design concepts, and the close collaboration between Virtuarch and the school to achieve its ambitious educational goals and create a world-class learning environment.

Throughout the visit, Virtuarch introduced its diverse portfolio of projects across various sectors, including industrial building, office spaces, educational institutions, hospitality projects and etc. With a strong presence in China and Southeast Asia, Virtuarch has established itself as a key player in delivering complex projects for both local and international clients from the beginning of a project to the final completion.
