A Landmark Beverage Factory in a Tropical Climate Zone for TGN

Thai Green Nation, a company specializing in producing beverage ingredients, is expanding its operations and relocating from rented facilities to a new facility in Sinsakorn Industrial Park, near Bangkok. The new facility covers a land area of 1.5 hectares and consists of multiple buildings totalling 10,000 square meters in size.

VIRTUARCH was appointed by TGN as architects and project managers for the project, developing the concept based on the Owner’s user requirements and successfully leading the realization of the industrial building for TGN.

The well-developed production building combines perfect functionality with a clear architecture language

The production building and the warehouse building of the new facility are designed to be luminous, benefiting from skylight sheds. These sheds allow ample natural light to enter the buildings, reducing the reliance on artificial lighting during the day. Not only does this help save energy, but it also creates a more pleasant and comfortable working environment for the employees.

A dominant flying roof marks the public area of the office building and provides shading and rain protection

Moreover, the design of the buildings incorporates features to enhance natural ventilation. A combination of louvres and mechanical ventilation systems is utilized to facilitate airflow and regulate indoor temperature. This design approach helps to keep the interior spaces cool, even in the tropical climate of the region.

The elegant and quiet atmosphere echoes contemporary Asian aesthetics of Thailand

The office building is a three-story structure with a total area of 4,500 m2. The ground floor serves as a lobby and showroom and features high glass windows that provide a transparent boundary between the interior and the surrounding green area. Despite being located in an industrial zone, the ground floor’s connection with the garden creates a sense of harmony with nature. The upper two floors have a more solid appearance and create the illusion of levitating above the ground floor. To enhance the building’s grandeur and architectural uniqueness, a grand staircase has been designed, drawing inspiration from M.C. Escher’s renowned “Relativity” lithograph. This staircase breaks the horizontal layers of the building and vertically connects all three floors, becoming a focal point and adding an element of intrigue. With its intricate design and captivating visual effect, the staircase creates a sense of wonder and elevates the overall aesthetic appeal of the office building.

Columns and geometric lines shape the spectacular building, visualizing the strength of the company

The office building’s façade incorporates vertical sun shades, which serve a dual purpose. They not only protect the interior from the intense tropical sunlight but also create a unique rhythm in the building’s appearance. This combination of functional design elements and aesthetic considerations contributes to the overall appeal and functionality of the new factory for Thai Green Nation.

The training room opens towards the garden, linking indoor and outdoor areas

The building shows clearly the qualities of VIRTUARCH’s industrial building design. Based on absolute functionality, VIRTUARCH manages creating buildings which have a strong identity and provide good workplaces for the staff of VIRTUARCH’s clients.
