Inauguration of the New Manufacturing Plant of MOOG in Taicang
On September 6th, we were glad to celebrate the inauguration of Moog’s cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Taicang. This event marks a significant milestone in the company’s development in the Chinese market.
Moog’s Opening Ceremony in Taicang
Moog, a global leader in high-precision motion control and electronic solutions for aerospace, defense, industrial and medical applications, has dedicated the past two decades to localized development and innovation in China. The culmination of this dedication is the establishment of their new manufacturing plant in Taicang.
The vision for this new manufacturing plant was to create a contemporary, productive, and state-of-the-art facility that mirrors Moog’s mastery of velocity, force, and acceleration. VIRTUARCH responded to this challenge with a building that is a true embodiment of Moog’s spirit. Unconventional volumes and dynamic linear decorations come together to create a cutting-edge architectural masterpiece while fulfilling all functional requirements for an efficient production.
A contemporary, productive, and state-of-the-art facility
Spanning an impressive 15,000 square meters, with a construction area of 9,600 square meters, the Moog factory in Taicang is a multifunctional facility that integrates research and development, final assembly, sales, maintenance, service, and training. It is designed to be a dynamic hub catering to the specific needs of the Chinese market, showcasing Moog’s commitment to localizing its operations.
One of the standout features of the facility is its integrated facade concept, which creates a dynamic visual rhythm. The unconventional volumes and dynamic symmetry of the rooftop garden provide a multi-functional public area for Moog’s employees, further enhancing the pleasant experience of their work environment.Â

Moog’s brand image is also brilliantly integrated into the building’s design, with the Moog logo proudly displayed on the roof and metal panels echoing the company’s industry. These elements of the façade are conceived to reflect Moog’s identity and mission.

In addition to aesthetics and functionality, environmental sustainability is a key focus of the new manufacturing plant. The facility boasts a system of photovoltaic panels and skylights on the rooftop that enhance indoor air quality and help save energy, alongside a charging station for electric cars, promoting a greener approach to manufacturing.
